Welcome . . .

Friends of the Pine Bush Community, Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt membership organization dedicated to the charitable and educational purposes of providing stewardship and developing public appreciation for the special character of the Albany Pine Bush.

The FRIENDS work cooperatively with Albany Pine Bush Preserve Commission staff to further conservation and education within the Preserve -- especially through organized activities and programs of the Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center.

There are opportunities for FRIENDS members to get involved with projects that help maintain the integrity of this unique inland Pine Barrens community -- home to rare animals, plants and natural communities.

Donations and membership dues help fund stewardship activities, the School Youth Transportation Aid Project, a Friends Speakers Series, and special events at the Discovery Center.

We appreciate your interest and support for the Preserve and look forward to your involvement as a FRIEND.
